How CIPP works
A new lining inside the existing pipe.
The damaged host pipe is inspected and cleaned. A resin-saturated liner is positioned against the interior wall, cured and then inspected again. The finished liner creates a smooth, continuous flow surface without replacing every foot through an open trench.
For an aging cast-iron line, compare cast-iron repair and lining options before choosing the work. Pipe condition and access determine which approach fits.
Prepare
Remove scale, roots and buildup that could affect the liner.
Line and cure
Install the liner and cure it using the selected system.
Verify
Review post-installation camera footage against the agreed repair scope. Ask what the final inspection documents and which sections were not included.

Before you choose your repair.
Can every damaged sewer pipe be lined?
No. Camera footage, pipe condition, access, diameter and structural continuity determine whether CIPP lining is appropriate. Collapsed or badly offset sections may require a different repair or excavation.
Will lining avoid opening my floors or yard?
Lining can reduce excavation for suitable pipes, but access or damaged sections can still require openings. Ask which areas need access, what would be opened and how any restoration is included in the proposed scope.
What should I ask to see in the repair quote?
Ask which pipe sections and approximate lengths are included, how the line will be cleaned and prepared, where access is needed, how branch connections are handled and what final camera review is included. Clarify fixture-use restrictions, exclusions and restoration before approving work.
Does a 50-year design life mean a 50-year warranty?
No. Design life and warranty are different. Any 50-year design-life statement must match the manufacturer’s documentation for the selected liner and application. Ask for applicable ASTM test documentation, any NSF listing for that exact system and use, and the separate written warranty terms.
Is the camera inspection free if I am only comparing options?
Yes. Our camera inspections are always free. We review the findings and discuss appropriate options; cleaning and repair work are separate from the inspection.
